Pelin Mehmet – Legal Consultant

Pelin has worked purely in Criminal Defence since 2002, having worked in fast paced firms in North London for 7 years, Pelin then moved to head up a South London office where she built up a loyal client base from all over London before becoming a Consultant in 2012.

Pelin studied on the Bar Vocational Course in 2007 having completed her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2005. Pelin decided her strengths and passion laid with being one on one with her Clients due to her dedication, attention to details and personal approach. Pelin really does go over and above what is required of her when preparing a case and getting to know her Clients and has built a reputation for being fearless and is respected by both Clients and Barristers. Pelin has been an accredited police station representative since 2008 and has represented clients at the police station for a wide range of offences.

Pelin has a strong grasp of the law and was part of the leading Court of Appeal joint enterprise case following Jogee. Pelin particularly specialises in very serious violent crime, including joint enterprise ‘gang’ related Murders, firearms, perverting the course of justice, assisting an offender and large scale drugs matters (including country lines and encro chat) she has detailed knowledge on the law surrounding Modern Day Slavery and Exploitation. Pelin has dealt with high scale complex fraud matters and has a particular expertise in sexual offences, having been involved in high profile cases all over the UK which have attracted significant media interest.
